The Robyn is a soft mermaid gown with v-neck in Chantilly lace, adorned with crystal and glass beadwork and a lace illusion back.

The Robyn dress is an updated version of one of our most popular gowns from our 2010 collection. This gown is the prefect combination of sensuality and simplicity. The dress is very flattering on both hourglass shapes and boyish fugures. It is also good for petite brides as the cut line under the bust and the deep v-neck elongates the body.

The lace we used in the design is a classic Chantilly lace design, and is from Solstiss in France. The delicate glass beading under the bust brings out the pattern of the adds a bit of sparkle to the dress. This dress is timeless and elegant, with a hint of seduction.

This wedding took place on a very rainy day the lovely Lourensford wine estate. Eva wore the Marion dress from our 2012 collection. The style suited her just perfectly, and she looked amazing.

My favourite is the last one … when Nyagaka and I entered the reception after having taken our vows, the woman in his family danced and sang Swahili songs to welcome me into the family. It became so festive that my friends and family joined in too.”

The Carmen is a mermaid gown in Chantilly lace and dupion silk, with crystal pleated silk and voile frills on skirt, and clustered Swarovski and glass crystal beadwork and lace straps on the bodice.

The detail on the skirt of this gown is inspired by Spanish flamenco dance dresses. The sheer lace straps add and element of romance to this otherwise structured design – this creates a really beautiful and complimentary contrast.

The Mermaid shape will flatter brides with an hourglass figure, or add curves to some one with a boyish shape. This is dress for more adventurous bride, who wants to sparkle, and does not mind taking chances and standing out from the crowd.

This is a dress in which to dance the night away.

This beautiful Jewish ceremony was held at the spectacular Kirstenbosch gardens in Cape Town.

Taryn wore a version of our Aurora gown from the 2011 collection, and added a lace shrug to keep with the tradition that Jewish brides need to have their shoulders covered. The sheer lace looked amazing.

I have known Taryn for a long time! She actually modelled in a shoot for me in 2005, when did our second Bridal Collection. I have included one of these pics at the end of this post – just for fun! This dress was our bestseller for quite a few years.

Reach For A Dream seeks to alleviate the strain that a life-threatening illness takes on these children and their families by providing the children with the opportunity to realise their dream. The foundation enriches children’s lives by making dreams come true and as a result, distracting them from the needles, medication and hospital environment. These young children are under extreme pressure to deal with these medical issues and are in desperate need of our encouragement. In addition, Reach For A Dream offers the child a magical moment to regain their childhood that is being lost to an illness.

Claire is a soft a-line gown in crepe and silk tulle. Its boat-neck bodice in Chantilly lace and micro beading lends a dreamy feel to this feminie gown, and the soft tulle sash in the natural waist is a perfect and pretty finishing touch.

The Claire gown is the most romantic in our 2013 collection. It is made from the softest silk tulle imported from Spain that gives a gossamer effect to the skirt. The beautiful micro-beadwork on the very fine Chantilly lace from Solstiss in France adds texture and detail to the bodice. The boat-neck will compliment narrow shoulders and smaller busts. The low back is my favourite part of the dress, as it balances out the very demure front.

This dress is for the bride who is feminine and wants an understated gown with lots of subtle detailing for her wedding.

This lovely winter wedding was held at Silvermist in Hout Bay. Lucy looked beautiful in the very popular Edith dress from our 2011 Collection. We chose an ivory shade for her dress to compliment her fair skin, and because this softer colour is more suited to a winters’ day.

The bride looked so comfortable and happy in her dress, we always love to see that our brides enjoyed wearing their dresses. Lucy made her beautiful bouquet herself out of paper – I just love it!

In her words: “Thank you once again for my wedding dress, it is beautiful, and made me feel beautiful, I got loads of compliments on the night and everyone was amazed at the dress and how good I looked, so thank you.”

The Daniella is a tea-length dupion silk and Alencon lace dress with a ribbon bow trim in the waist. The whimsical box pleated skirt includes pin tuck and lace detailing, and even has some hidden pockets!

This is a dress for the modern bride. Tea-length dresses are a strong trend for this season and is perfect for a more informal or day-time wedding. The beautiful Alencon lace adds detail to the bodice and hem that is subtle and suitable for daytime dress. The shape is flattering on most figures and will emphasise a small waist, while the bow detail and pockets add a playful touch to this style.

Elbeth was inspired by the shape of the “prom” dresses from 50′s and early 60′s. This fun dress make any bride feel comfortable and exuberant on her wedding day.

This absolutely beautiful wedding took place at the rustic Bloftebos in Stanford. Stephne chose a very delicate Chantilly lace dress that complimented her petite frame. I bought this very special lace on one of my trips to Paris, and just thought it complemented the femininity of this dress so perfectly.
The soft sleeve and keyhole back detail lends such a romantic and unexpected touch to the gown. Stephne looked absolutely gorgeous in it.

The Leanne gown is a strapless, mermaid-style dress, created out of Chinese dupion silk with Alencon lace moulding on the bodice and a detachable peplum. Peplum style dresses became fashionable in the 40′s and 50′s , known by many as the “Golden Age of Couture”.

 
I draw a lot of my design inspiration from this era and I love all the attention to detail that went into the dresses. The Leanne dress is an elegant style with clean lines, and the peplum is very flattering for those who want a more fitted gown, but want to hide fuller hips or a tummy. It is also very well suited to statuesque brides as Charlize Theron showed us this week by wearing a very similar style by Dior to the Oscars.

 
I added lace moulding to the bodice and peplum for detail. The heavy Alenocon lace compliments the modern silhouette of this dress. The detachable peplum gives the bride the option to change her dress for the reception.

 
This dress is for the fashion conscious bride, who wants a more modern look that will remain classic and timeless.
